The eclipse is less than 48 hours away and I have heard from many of you about your stuff coming up. Do you know what is present for almost everyone who has contacted me about their stuff? Judgment about their stuff, or someone else's stuff or the global stuff.
Most of you have heard me talk about the fact that Fear, Doubt, Judgment and Criticism are our bodyguards - or in this case our mind guards. And you don't put guards on an empty vault, there is nothing to guard! So why would our mind be working so hard to judge or criticize or scare us unless there was something very powerful on the other side of this STUFF.
Your stuff is the key to the power that is your birthright.
What is so funny is that most of us spend a great deal of time wrestling with that mental debris, fear and old patterns because our treasure is on the other side of it, not because we are stuck, wrong or damaged. However, that is not what our brain will tell us.
I like to use the 'expert' as an example. For example, if you wanted to know about training for goal attainment wouldn't you expect Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian, to be a good source of advice? Or if you wanted to know about Directing how about a conversation with Steven Spielberg, hmm? Now I'd like you to re-frame your view of your 'stuff'. I was talking with someone yesterday bemoaning the fact that she has spent 30 years struggling with a relationship challenge.
She was stunned silent when I simply observed that she had a rich, deep vein of information to help transform anything she wanted around the topic since she had spent all that time being a subject matter expert.
I spoke with another wise soul today that wrestled with a limited view of herself and then framed a very big question in a very simple manner. Her issues have made her wiser than she can see.
This is the Earth Heart position - one that can't see the whole picture because it is so powerfully anchored in the present. That is why we all need help at times. Whether it is a friend who can listen and reflect, a coach to help you make that leap or a class to shed a bigger light than you can see - we all need perspective in order to see.
The Earth Heart is the starting point for all the other heart types. Because it is only in the present moment focused on ourselves that change is possible. We all have earth at our center.
Ego has us working on distancing ourselves from our worst feelings, emotions, history as best it can, rather than blasting through it to get to the other side where our richest dreams and desires are waiting. When that happens, it's time for some help. So be sure you reach out this week as the Sun goes dark and Ego takes a dive. We all benefit from a little support in our darker hours.
